TISA TECHPOINT S.L. is a Canarian company founded in 1983, dedicated to providing IT solutions and services that cover all the needs of the different operational phases of companies.
Our proposal is based on professional and personalized attention, the development of customized solutions, the vocation to offer the client the tools of software and hardware needed and implement them with the focus on your business.
For this we use state-of-the-art technologies, with modern equipment and software tools, which translates into the development of customizable, flexible and adaptable computer solutions to the management of all types of companies.

OUR HISTORY

Company founded in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in 1983, with a clear vocation of service between the requirements of companies within the framework of a constantly growing economy. In those years, few companies had a computer system.
We started our journey hand TISA ORDENADORES national company with headquarters in Madrid, which had burst a few years earlier in the IT sector and that maintained an extraordinary growth in the sector, based on 3 fundamental pillars: a highly professional human team , some computer equipment from the Silicon Valley called ALTOS cOMPUTER SYSTEMS , more powerful, reliable and economical multiuser computers that all those offered on the market, and software which provided the solutions The company demanded in those times, easy to use, reliable and adaptable to all needs. The programs were developed under the OASIS multi-user operating system (later TheOS ) one of the first open systems, since until then, each computer manufacturer had its own operating system.
As TISA distributors for the Canary Islands we began to grow and receive the trust of many companies, which we paid with dedication, effort , seriousness and professionalism. Without the support of TISA we would not have become what we are today. TISA showed us the way, the honesty, the seriousness and that we are people before companies. We will always be in debt to them.
We pioneered the implementation of barcode in the Canary Islands and the Point Of Computer Sale </strong > in replacement of electronic cash registers. This marked the beginning of a computer revolution in commerce at national and European level driven by TISA Madrid </ strong> with its T / 2 T / 3 and T / 5 models. The POS TISA T / 2 </ strong> were the first point-of-sale terminals with a market monitor, integrating all the peripherals (printer, keyboard, monitor and cash drawer) into a single unit. Such was the impact of this POS, that in an edition of SIMO (the most important IT fair) the cover photo of the catalog of the fair was the POS of TISA </ p>

Our first client to incorporate it was Calixto and Estupiñan, a major distribution company, with Cash & Carry and wholesale outlets. The bet was a success. Our IT solution with the first generation of TPV´s TISA ( POS T/2 ) and the programs TisaPOS and TisaDIS, notably propitiated the expansion of the company with the opening of a significant number of Cash & Carry.

Parallel to the growth of TISA throughout the Spanish territory, in 1985 we began to computerize the Supermarkets sector in the Canary Islands. With the already successful POS TISA T/2, with the first generation of Scanners barcode readers and with the TisaPOS software in constant evolution, we implanted our solution in the Supermarket MAS Y MAS in Las Palmas belonging to the chain of Supermarkets Torres.

Then, due to the great success of the TISA system, countless installations took place, not only in the food sector, but in various businesses that saw in the implementation of barcoding with our computer solution, an agile and dynamic way to modernize their establishments.

Maintaining and strengthening the company philosophy in which the customer is our most precious capital, in the constant search for optimization and improvement of its business, we grew every day until we became leaders in the sector.

In 1999, faced with the emergence of Microsoft in the systems of SMEs and the OFFICE, once it had conquered the personal computer segment, we decided to carry out an important process of transformation and evolution in our company, and to adopt the modern tools that this manufacturer had launched to the market.  Windows Server, SQL Server, Visual Studio, etc., left behind the productive TheOS.

This important effort paid off, and after many months of effort and countless hours of work in the development of our applications under the Windows environment, the new TisaPOS, TisaGEST and TisaCONTA came to light.

This time, given the requirements of the systems, by the hand of IBM, which named us BUSINESS PARTNER for the Canary Islands, both Servers and Point of Sale Systems.

Thanks to the acquired know-how, the contributions of our clients and the will to satisfy their business needs, the change was a new success, which allowed our consolidation and leadership in the sector.

In 2008 we were awarded by IBM for being the Leading European Partner in sales of IBM SurePOS units.

As a dynamic and continuously evolving company, we have incorporated technological products to complement our offer and provide to our connectivity systems with solutions that our customers demand.

With these objectives we have become partners of important companies such as SES-imagotag world number 1 manufacturer of electronic price tags, EPELSA manufacturer of electronic scales, Cashkeeper manufacturer of automatic collection equipment, etc.

On the occasion of the sale by IBM of the points of sale division to Toshiba, In 2013, we signed an agreement as a NCR Corporation Partner to commercialize its POS terminals, Scanners and Self Checkout Systems . A wise decision for the great bet of this multinational for the Retail sector. Its products, as well as being technologically advanced, are extremely reliable, which guarantees our customers the lowest rate of breakdowns we have had since our inception.

To complete our offer for trade, we have developed applications such as TisaCIE and TisaTEF. The first to equip our POS terminals with automatic collection machines from the main manufacturers worldwide. The TisaCIE software links our TisaPOS with Cashkeeper, Gunnebo, CashGuard, Scan Coin, etc. For its part, TisaTEF provides our POS terminals with an electronic funds transfer system based on payment with cards at the point of sale.
